Continuing the Omotesando Koffee story in the Philippines
For a brand with a following as established as Omotesando Koffee, stores can pop up like mushrooms and it would be a sure hit. But the Japanese coffee brand consciously doesn’t follow suit. “When we build stores, we’re mindful of the who we’re serving,” Omotesando Koffee owner and managing director Russell Stradmoor says. “We wanted to build a cafe that the people in the neighborhood felt like it belonged to them.”
This is all the more reason why each store opened is special. With origins in the quaint backstreets of Omotesando, Tokyo over a decade ago, the discreet shop soon grew to be known as an international destination for coffee lovers with presence in London, Hong Kong and Manila.
